Hui Liang DDS, MS, PHD

Director

Dr. Hui Liang is a tenured professor at Texas A&M University School of Dentistry (TAMUSOD) and currently serves as the Acting Director of the Oral Radiology and Acting Director of the Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology Advanced Education Program in the Department of Diagnostic Sciences.

Dr. Liang received her bachelor’s degree in Medicine (equivalent to DDS) in 1988 and PhD in Prosthodontics in 1992 from Peking University School of Stomatology, Beijing, China. She completed her Oral and Maxillofacial residency with a Master of Science Degree in 1998 from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, NC. She was board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology (ABOMR) in 1997.

Dr. Liang joined the TAMUSOD faculty in 1999 and has since been actively involved in dental education and research as well as administrative roles for over 23 years. She has received “Distinguished Teaching Award” and “Service Premier Performance Award” from TAMUSOD and “Baylor Faculty Award” from Dallas County Dental Society. She has authored many articles and abstracts in national and international journals. She has served on several committees in American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology (AAOMR) and used to be the treasurer of AAOMR from 2014 to 2017.
