Dr. Abramovitch is Professor at Loma Linda University. He received his D.D.S. from McGill University and his M.S degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. At the Dental Branch in Houston, he is the course director for graduate and undergraduate dental and dental hygiene radiology curricula. Extramurally, he is actively involved as a sole proprietor for his private oral and maxillofacial radiology practice. From 1989 to 2006, he has written a monthly article “Roentgen Ray Anomalies” published in the Journal of the Greater Houston Dental Society. Dr. Abramovitch is a Past President of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. He also served the Academy as Councilor for Communications, Chair of the Electronic Publications Committee, and as a member of various committees including the Membership Committee, Scientific Sessions Committee, the Specialty Recognition Committee (ad hoc), and the Annual Sessions Committee.

Dr. Abramovitch strongly identifies with his role as an oral and maxillofacial radiologist through professional practice, academic rank and interaction with fellow oral and maxillofacial radiologists in the Academy.
