Donald Tyndall, DDS, MSPH, PhD

Dr. Tyndall graduated from UNC-CH in 1973 (biology/History double major) and with a DDS in 1980. He completed an MSPH and PhD in Heath Physics from UNC in 1984 and 1988 respectively. He was board certified in 1991 and became a Director in 1996. Dr. Tyndall served a as President of the Board in 1999, the year we were recognized as a specialty by the ADA. He thoroughly enjoyed his time on the board and has always considered it to be it one of the most satisfying professional activities of his career. He followed this with six years on the ADA Radiology Review committee where he and his teammates created accreditation standards for OMFR programs…a great time to be sure. Dr. Tyndall followed this with a second term as Councilor for Scientific Affairs of the AAOMR EC.

Dr. Tyndall is pleased to have served and is very pleased to “pass the torch “ to another generation of fine and very capable leaders.
